AND LOOKING DAMN GOOD DOING IT

When you are into both music, photography and graphic design what makes a better assignment than to do the cover art for an upcoming danish hip hop artist? This piece of work is the outcome of a photography school project I did with lovely Camilla Agerskov.

We got to listen to the—not even yet released—song "Du Minder Mig Om Himlen" by Danni Toma and we had to figure out how to capture the feel of the song in the cover art. The song is really simple, light and dreamy. Danni says the song is "the sound of being in love" and about someone seeming as beautiful as the heavenly light.

Camilla and I really liked the religious analogy and we came up with the idea of visualising the woman through a figure of Virgin Mary.

Additionally we were asked to do a simple .gif animation as an alternative for a press photo for music blogs. Click the "Next image" button located above the cover to see it. (A slideshow. Wow. I know.)

Handwriting by courtesy of Gustav Eskildsen. (Thanks, dude—it's spot on.)

We do not know yet if our cover is being picked out to be the official cover art for "Du Minder Mig Om Himlen" on iTunes, but we've got our fingers crossed and I will let you know.

Well, hi. Welcome back. What happened here? Well—I'll tell you what happened.

The past two days in school have been quite the eye opener. After some months of not so stimulating school projects we have the pleasure of Lynette Murphy from Bucks Ad School this week. Honestly I have not felt this inspired for a long time.

I have struggled with making this website work for me for some time now. You can say that I've had a portfolio crisis. I am dying to show you what I do, what I've done and what projects I am working on. Regrettably only a percentage of those things belong in my portfolio.

Lynette has given us assignments on inspiration and ideas. It has been a blast and I really want to show you what we've done so far—even though it is still just some rough ideas and sketches.

It makes much more sense having a personal blog where I can both reveal the outcome of the work I finish and also make notes on ideas and thoughts I want to share with you guys.

Stay tuned. Stuff will be posted. A lot of stuff.

Ok, so how great is it being able to draw whatever and then make it come to life?
I feel like freaking god.

This very, very short animation is made from boredom and curiosity and too much coffee.
I had the pleasure of taking photos of the crew and the beautiful models backstage at the Vivienne Westwood SS13 show @ Børsen, Copenhagen.

Bible covers redesigned. (School assignment on graphic design.)

GROUP SHOTS

HEAD SHOTS
This video is filmed on my way to the airport in 2011. It was one of those immersive moments where the exterior world completely matches the feel of your interior world. I was at a point of my life where I felt stuck and uninspired. I took a chance and went on a spontanious trip to Münich, Germany. It turned out to be one of the best things I have ever done for myself.

These photos are from a series I shot for an exhibition in 2008. It is funny how you stumble across work you have done when you were younger, and figure out that the pictures you trashed back then are the most magical. None of these photos were exhibited.
